In this season of thanks and giving, Beck Tech has donated to World Central Kitchen through its Beck Tech Cares give-back initiative. In March 2018, we started a program in which once a month, an employee could pick an organization to receive a donation from Beck Technology.
We believe that construction shapes the world and can make the world a better place for everyone. As it is our mission to revolutionize the industry and create the future, it's important for us to not only provide software that solves common precon problems but also to enable our teammates to support their communities in multiple ways.
When underserved communities are given the same opportunities, we are helping create a better future. Our core values of passion, innovation, and caring don’t stop at the office door. We hire people who demonstrate these values in everything they do. Through Beck Tech Cares, we have been afforded the opportunity to help as varied organizations as are the individual passions of our team members.
This month, event specialist Alex Young was our Beck Tech Cares winner, and he chose to donate to the World Central Kitchen.
The World Central Kitchen is a worldwide relief effort with one mission: “Feed the people in need.” Founded in 2010 by José Andrés after a devasting earthquake in Haiti displaced over one million people, World Central Kitchen provides cooked meals after a crisis. The organization’s other programs include a global community of chefs, education and financial support for small farms, education and advocating for clean cooking, a free text-to-order meal program, and a climate disaster fund.
Alex says: “WCK is first to the frontlines, providing meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises. They do so much good for those who are in need or facing food insecurity. It’s a cause I have been following for quite some time and I am grateful to Beck Tech or allowing me to contribute and shine a light on this great organization.”
