Music Made for Estimators—Your Preconstruction Playlist

Music affects your mood. It can calm, relax, motivate, and aggravate. It can bring you to tears or make you dance like no one’s watching. Music can also heal, reduce pain, enhance learning, and increase memory. When we hear music, it stimulates our brain and causes a psychological and physical reaction.

Award-winning filmmaker and author, Elena Mannes writes in her book The Power of Music, “Scientists have found that music stimulates more parts of the brain than any other human function.” Numerous studies have shown that listening to music helps our bodies release dopamine, oxytocin, and opioids, and decreases our levels of the stress hormone cortisol. Whether celebrating a big project win, doing takeoff, or rushing during crunch time, music can help you stay motivated and focused, and can increase your concentration and productivity.

We are so passionate about what we do at Beck Technology, about preconstruction and estimating, and our industry, and we know you are too. That’s why we’ve created a Spotify profile and every month we post a curated playlist just for estimators.

For July, we are celebrating our freedom, not just our country’s independence, but the freedom you have to enjoy the things you love to do outside of work if you use DESTINI Estimator estimating software.
