Award-winning filmmaker and author, Elena Mannes writes in her book The Power of Music, “Scientists have found that music stimulates more parts of the brain than any other human function.” Numerous studies have shown that listening to music helps our bodies release dopamine, oxytocin, and opioids, and decreases our levels of the stress hormone cortisol.
