Beck Technology Donates to Addy’s Hope Adoption Agency

Construction significantly impacts every second of our lives. So much so that it is a huge part of every little thing we do. However, there are hundreds of thousands of people in this country who think about buildings constantly…only because they don’t have a building or structure to go to.

In 2022, the U.S. reached record high numbers of homelessness—421,392 people to be exact.

At Beck Technology, we passionately and wholeheartedly believe that construction is one of the main industries that can make the world a better place. Whether that’s adding more beds in a hospital, extending libraries and labs at a school, providing more sustainable building materials, or helping build more affordable housing. The decisions we make when building buildings directly impact those that use those buildings. And when our clients or organizations that we support are making those buildings that positively impact lives, we like to celebrate it.

A small, Texas-based non-profit called Addy’s Hope Adoption Agency is doing just that. Addy’s Hope helps match families with Texas children in foster care for permanent adoption for a very nominal fee. But there are still thousands of children in Texas that ‘age out’ of the foster care system, never getting a permanent home.  Addys Hope logo

Addy’s Hope newest program is Future Hope, which is currently building a 14-unit apartment complex called Hope Crossing in North Texas. Hope Crossing will welcome young men aging out of foster care who have no family or home to go to with a furnished studio apartment.

Every month, Beck Technology donates to an employee’s charitable organization of choice through its Beck Tech Cares program. As a mission-driven company, we hire people who not only demonstrate our core values of passion, innovation, and caring while at work, but also who show us their passions, innovation, and caring outside of work.

Our Beck Tech Cares program provides an opportunity to support the personal passions of our employees by their appreciation for each other’s passion, innovation, and caring at work. Every month, Beck Tech team members nominate the Beck Tech Cares winner by giving each other high fives through a performance management platform. At the end of every month, those high fives are read aloud and one of those nominees is chosen to pick a charitable organization to receive a donation.

This month’s winner was Suzanne Wiley, Marketing Content Lead. She says, “My parents adopted me through a private agency when I was five weeks old but not all children who need a caring and supportive family are as lucky as I was to be adopted at such an early age. And not all who want to adopt have the financial ability to adopt through private organizations. There are thousands of Texas children in the foster care system that are waiting to be adopted, some of those children will age out of the system, never getting adopted. Addy’s Hope Adoption Agency helps with adoption and placement of children in foster care, as well as providing support for young men aging out of foster care through its program, Future Hope. Through the Addy’s Hope They Wait program, for $250, Addy’s Hope will help with a matched adoption, benefiting both those who want to adopt and the children who are waiting for forever homes.”
