Integrated Preconstruction Technology on the Rise in First Quarter of 2019
There is an uptick in construction firms implementing integrated preconstruction technology. Commercial contractors in the United States and Canada are facing greater project complexities with an increased emphasis on collaboration. This combination has led firms to seek out technology that solves these needs in one unified platform.
The increase in demand for integrated preconstruction technology is coming from companies who are seeking greater productivity, clarity in their cost data, and standards for their estimating processes. Beck Technology sealed nine DESTINI Estimator enterprise agreements in the first quarter, including clients such as Broccolini, Donley’s, Haskell, Hawaiian Dredging, Life Time Construction, PC Construction, Project Planning Strategies, and W.E. O’Neil.
“PC Construction is constantly evolving and we wanted a tool that could grow with us while streamlining our processes and creating greater efficiency,” said Randy Lessor, Director of Information Technology at PC Construction.
“We were very impressed with DESTINI Estimator’s capabilities, especially its 2D and 3D takeoff features,” said Joel Peterson, Director of Preconstruction at Life Time. “We foresee a more streamlined workflow and improved communication between departments as a result of adopting Estimator as our new estimating platform.”
“I consistently hear from prospects and customers their traditional way of estimating projects is cumbersome as project owners need greater clarity on their project numbers in less time,” said Tyler Barron, Vice President of Sales at Beck Technology. “The speed of preconstruction continues to increase and integrated preconstruction technology allows users to keep up with the pace as well as surpass expectations. Our customers are able to pursue more work because DESTINI Estimator is the platform that has taken into account what the construction industry needs. And one of those needs is a true integration of processes, systems, and the expert driving the software.”
